Holy Face Chaplet

I created this Holy Face chaplet for those who plan on joining the Archconfraternity of the Holy Face. The devotion to the Holy Face is “the devotion destined to save humanity” according to Fr. Lawrence Daniel Carney III, who quotes Blessed Pope Pius IX who said “Reparation is a work destined to save society.” Praying the chaplet of the Holy Face is an act of reparation to the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts for the profanation of Sundays and all Holy Days of obligation, blasphemy and idolatry, all of which are institutionalized in the system commonly known as socialism (includes communism).

On November 15, 1843, Sr. Mary of St. Peter, a Holy Carmelite Nun of Tours, France, “was given the Holy Face Chaplet from the Lord to honor the five senses He suffered in His life and to honor the three years of His public life. Psalm 67 is repeated thirty-three times, requesting that the enemies of God be scattered and that, by His face, they melt like wax.” This special devotion to the Suffering Christ is traditionally on the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday, or Shrove Tuesday.

The center Medals are the Face of Christ from the Shroud of Turin and inscribed with prayers on the front and back.

The words around the front of the Medal are: Illumina Domine Vultum Super Nos which translates to Lord, Thy Face to shine on us.

The back is inscribed with the words: Mane Nobiscum Domine, meaning stay with us Lord, as well as the initials : AMDG which is For the Greater Glory of God, and in the center is the IHS – Jesus Christ Savior.
